This page is dedicated to me suggesting some Christian books that I've read and enjoyed, and think would be great reads for anyone looking for a good Christian book to dive into! As always, check your local library or bookstore for the titles and authors on this page.
Peace Like a River by Leif Enger
It's a story about a young boy, Reuben Land, who witnesses miracles through his father during a time of searching for his brother, Davy, who has recently gone on the run after committing murder. This novel covers the topic of faith, miracles, and family strength during moments of hardship and struggle. This novel is well-written and definately a great Christian novel that demonstrates the message of real miracles and the eternal love of a father.
The Brother's Keeper by Tracy Groot
It's a story about James, the half-brother of Jesus, and his siblings having to deal with the change that Jesus' mission has brought on their lives. They care about Jesus, but they don't know whether they should accept that He is the Promised One from God, or some radical. It's a beautiful story that really brings out the personality and emotions from each individual person in the story (especially James). It's dramatic in certain parts, but there is also a bit of comical moments that bring a smile out. I love this book. I don't think I've ever read a Christian fictional book as detailed as this author has done for this story.
How to Stay Christian in College by J.Budziszewski
This book is a great read because it goes through the main issues and conflicts that happen to students on campuses, and instructs the reader on how to conquer the temptations that occur at college, as well as ways to stand up against opposition for their Christian beliefs. I personally loved what this book had to say. It's not a big book, so it's a quick read, but the instructions that are given are smart.
My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers; edited by James Reimann
This devotional book really instructs the spiritual heart of a Believer to be more incline to God and try and strive their best each day with honor to Christ, the Lord. I really enjoy reading this devotional book. It's uplifting at times, but also makes you want to be as best of a follower of Christ as possible, and reminds you of your mission that you have as a Christian.
